MATTHEW 4:21–22
Imagine you are offered a life-changing opportunity — a job in another country, starting immediately. No time to prepare, no guarantee of success. Just the offer and a choice.
Most of us would hesitate, consult friends, calculate risks, and consider our comfort. But James did not. When Jesus called, he left his boat, his father, and everything familiar — immediately.
James went on to become the first apostle to be martyred — a life not marked by ease, but by faithfulness.
Like James, we are invited to trust Jesus enough to drop what holds us back. In a world full of comfort, control, and calculated decisions, Jesus’ call still comes: “Follow me.”
Surrender to God precedes His significant work in your life.
🙏 May God grant you the grace to surrender everything to Him, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
