PSALM 143:4–11
While visiting my grandmother’s village, I joined a group walking to a nearby river at dawn. The footpaths twisted through fields and forests, and I quickly lost all sense of direction. What seemed like a shortcut led us deeper into the bush. I was ready to turn back—but our guide, an elder from the village, smiled and said, “You are not lost if you are with someone who knows the way.”
David, in Psalm 143, felt deeply lost—spiritually and emotionally. He needed guidance.
Like walking unfamiliar paths in the early morning fog, life can confuse us. But with God as our guide, we are never truly lost.
