STEADFAST LOVE

PSALM 136:1–9

Every morning, his grandmother waves as he walks to school, calling out, “God loves you, my boy!” Most days, David barely responds—lost in his thoughts about exams, soccer, or what his friends might say. Yet Grandma never missed a day. Her love was constant, no matter what.

God’s love is like that—and even greater. Psalm 136 reminds us that His steadfast love endures forever. In Hebrew, this deep, faithful love is called “hesed”—a covenant love that does not give up. Whether the sun rises or sets, God’s love stretches wide and endures long.

We often forget to pause, to thank God, or to notice His hand in our daily lives. But He never forgets us. His love is loyal, kind, and unshakeable.

Today, let us stop and respond: “Thank You, Lord, for Your steadfast love. I see it—and I will not take it for granted.”

🙏 May God’s steadfast love continue to keep you and yours. Amen.
