MATTHEW 22:1-14; LUKE 5:27–32
A youth pastor hoped that a film night at the church youth club would attract new members. However, the event almost failed due to a football match being shown on television at the same time. As he prepared to pack up, he was met by some local youth and motorbike club members, causing him to feel pale. But they had come because the film show was free.
Sometimes, we have a wrong picture of who we want to share the gospel with. Jesus was willing to share the good news with everyone, even when criticised by religious authorities, as He welcomed those who needed Him most.
On Holy Tuesday, Jesus openly taught in the Temple, comparing the kingdom of heaven to a king who invited people for a wedding feast (Matthew 22:1-14).
Everyone is invited, as long as they are willing to come to Jesus.
