ALWAYS ACCEPTED

LUKE 19:1–10

Angela was struggling with her education and was transferred from her elite primary school to a “normal” one.

Angela felt as though she had been demoted, and her parents were disappointed. The nine-year-old, however, quickly came to understand what it meant to be in a class of typical pupils after enrolling in her new school. She said, “Mummy, I belong here.” “I have been accepted at last!”

It reminds me of Zacchaeus’ excitement when Jesus decided to go to his house (Luke 19:5). Christ wanted to eat dinner with those who understood they were unworthy of God’s grace because they were defective (v. 10). Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers us the promise of perfection because He found us—and loved us—just as we were.

It is really reassuring to know that we are always welcome.

🙏 May the Lord who has accepted you continue to guide and bless you, and may you find strength and comfort in His love.
