DADDY’S PROBLEM

MATTHEW 7:7–11

Daddy’s name is printed all over several problems.

A man, whose children found bees in a crack in their concrete front porch, related his own experience of getting stung by them. His family’s safety and trust were his top priorities, so he went after the bees to chase them away.

In Matthew 7, Jesus encourages us to trust God with our prayers and submit our needs to Him. He uses an example to illustrate this point, asking devoted parents to consider their own actions when giving gifts to their children. Jesus’ response is clear: if we can give good gifts to our children, how much more will our Father in heaven give? This challenge encourages us to maintain our confidence in the benevolent goodness of our Father.

According to Jesus, God’s love for us surpasses even the love of the best earthly father.

🙏 Father, thank You for loving Your children so much more than even the best father on earth. Help them to love You too. Amen.
