WHAT IS INSIDE?

2 CORINTHIANS 4:7–18

A friend complimented an old book being held by Joy’s daughter. She asked if she could see it. As she opened the book, she found a treasure between the pages—a twenty-dollar note. The book was a shell to cover up what was inside.

Paul described Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection as a treasure that enable God’s people to endure adversity and continue their service. His light shines through their human imperfections. They are encouraged not to lose heart, as God strengthens His people to fulfil His work.

The gospel treasure inside us gives our lives direction and strength, much like the old book. People are prompted to wonder, “What is inside?” when God’s strength is evident in us.

🙏Thank You, Lord, for saving us. Please shine Your light brightly through our lives and let Your strength be made known.
