LOVE OF ANOTHER KIND

JOHN 15:9–17

A church, initially established as a ministry for ex-prisoners transitioning back into society, now attracts people from various backgrounds. The church serves as a reminder of the heavenly community, consisting of diverse individuals, all redeemed sinners, united by Jesus’ love.

Sometimes I wonder if some churches are more like exclusive clubs than a safe haven for forgiven sinners. People naturally gravitate towards groups they feel comfortable with, leaving others feeling marginalized. Jesus aimed for his disciples to love each other as He loved them, and His church should be an extension of His love shared with all.

Grieving and rejected individuals can find forgiveness, consolation, and loving refuge in Jesus. The church should show Jesus’ love to everyone, especially those different from us. Jesus desires for us to love those around us, and unison worship brings joy and a piece of heaven to our earth.

🙏Lord, lead us to people we can love as You love us.
