JOHN 14:1-10
A man attempted to enter another country but was turned away. He encountered some challenges with his visa. He thought everything was okay as he got off the plane, but he was refused entry. Even though he attempted to solve the issue by talking to a few persons, nothing worked in the end. He was placed on the next flight home.
It must have been awful to be turned down by that country. However, it is in no way comparable to the idea of being turned away at the door of heaven. Imagine being told while we are standing there that we are not permitted to enter. Would we cite all of our accomplishments as justification for entry? Such will not qualify us. What if we convinced our friends to defend us and compliment us? Even that will not work.
We can only enter heaven through Jesus (John 14:6).
He paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross and rising again. Are we yet to put our own faith in Him? We must take care to avoid being turned away from heaven’s door.
🙏Lord Jesus, only You can bring us into heaven. We accept You/rededicate ourselves to You today.
