MATTHEW 27:51
The Holy of Holies was the place where God met with the high priest who represented the Israelites. It was more like ‘the dwelling place of God’ in the temple. The veil that separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies was, in essence, God’s front door.
How does this apply to us today? When Christ died on the cross, the veil in the temple that separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies was torn in two – signifying that God’s front door was now always open to all who would accept Christ as their personal Saviour. They can now approach Him with their prayers, their sacrifices, no more locked out of His presence, because the front door is open.
What a privilege and honour to come before Him. To be allowed into His presence as His own.
