2 KINGS 6:8–17
A boy backstage trembled before his first speech, unaware his mother stood just behind the curtain. Though he felt alone, support was only steps away. We often mistake hidden help for absence.
From our text for today, Elisha’s servant woke up to see an enemy army encircling them. Fear seized him, but Elisha prayed, and the Lord opened his eyes. The hills blazed with horses and chariots of fire—God’s unseen protection surrounding them.
Today we face pressures, setbacks, and quiet anxieties. Circumstances may shout defeat, yet God remains near and active. When we cannot trace His hand, we can trust His heart and rest in His care.
