WHEN DAWN BRINGS UNEXPECTED JOY

LUKE 24:1–9

A farmer once woke before dawn after a night of heavy storms, certain his crops were ruined. Yet as the sun rose, he discovered the rain had revived his field instead. What looked like loss became life. In the same way, the women approached Jesus’ tomb in sorrow, expecting to complete burial rites. Instead, they encountered an empty grave—evidence that death had been overturned and hope restored.

From our text, the women found the stone rolled away and heard the angels declare that Jesus had risen. They were reminded of His earlier words, proving that God’s promises never fail. The resurrection stands as the cornerstone of our faith, showing that Christ has conquered sin and death. What seemed like defeat was, in truth, God’s greatest victory.

This truth invites us to trust God even when situations appear hopeless. When life feels uncertain, remember that God is still at work, bringing purpose out of pain. Like the women, we are called to share this message of hope with others, living as witnesses of His power and faithfulness.

🙏 I pray the Lord fills you with hope and makes you a bold witness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
