MATTHEW 19:23-30
Rushing to the airport, a traveller realises their suitcase is too heavy. Something valuable must be left behind to move forward. Following Jesus often feels the same: progress requires letting go.
Jesus teaches us in Matthew 19:29 that anyone who gives up family, comfort, or possessions for His sake will receive far more and inherit eternal life. His words remind us that sacrifice is never wasted in God’s kingdom.
Today, we may not leave homes or land, but we are asked to surrender pride, convenience, or control. When we choose obedience over comfort, God reshapes our priorities and rewards us with deeper life and lasting hope.
