MATTHEW 8:1–17
Like a child knocking on a neighbour’s door for warmth, our hearts were made to seek God’s welcome. We are created for fellowship, shaped to love and be loved by Him.
In Matthew 8:1–17, Jesus responds to faith with compassion and power. He touches a man with leprosy and heals him, then restores a paralysed servant through a centurion’s trust. These encounters reveal God’s character—merciful, willing, and attentive to humble faith.
Today, many face situations beyond their control: illness, broken choices, uncertain futures. Like those in Scripture, we are invited to come to Christ in faith. As we trust and obey Him, His love makes us whole and teaches us how to love others.
