JOHN 20:1-18
In the digital age, “fake news” travels faster than the truth, leading many to believe lies simply because they were the first thing they heard. Accepting information without scrutiny is perilous.
On that first Easter, Mary Magdalene rushed to the disciples with a frantic, incorrect report: “They have taken away the Lord.” (John 20:2) Even Peter and John, seeing the empty tomb, initially struggled to grasp the resurrection. Only through persistent seeking did Mary encounter the risen Saviour and find the truth.
Today, distorted teachings abound. Like the Bereans (Acts 17:10-11), we must test every claim against God’s Word. Do not settle for rumours; pursue Jesus until you know the truth for yourself.
