HELD IN THE DARK VALLEY

PSALM 23

When a child loses his way in the dark, he may begin to panic until he feels his father’s hand. Instantly, fear loosens its grip. So it is with grief and uncertainty. We may not see the path, yet we are not alone.

David acknowledged in Psalm 23:4 that even when he walks through the darkest valley, he will fear no evil, for God was with him. The shepherd image shows God guiding and guarding His people through danger and sorrow.

Presently, many may be facing bereavement, illness, or silent anxiety. The valley feels endless. Yet this promise assures us that God walks beside us now and leads us towards His presence beyond the darkness.

🙏 May the Lord hold your hand in every dark valley. Amen.
