A HOUSE FOR PRAYER

MARK 11:15–18

A school once closed its busy hall for a week so pupils could quietly reflect and pray. When it reopened, the atmosphere felt calmer and more meaningful. Sometimes removing activity helps restore purpose.

Jesus Christ entered the temple and found merchants turning a sacred place into a marketplace. Angered, He overturned their tables and made it clear to them that the temple was a house of prayer for all nations. The court meant for outsiders to seek God had been filled with trade and distraction.

Today churches and believers can also become busy with programmes and appearances. Yet God desires sincere worship more than activity. When we refocus our hearts on Him, our lives again become living temples of prayer and devotion.

🙏 May the Lord purify your heart and the hearts of all His people and teach us true worship.
