JAMES 4:13–17
When a routine train journey is halted by sudden flooding, plans dissolve in moments. Life can change just as swiftly. One minute all seems secure; the next, everything shifts. We are reminded how fragile our schedules truly are.
In James 4:13–17, James challenges those who confidently map out business ventures without considering God. He reminded them that they did not even know what would happen tomorrow (4:14). He urges believers to acknowledge both life’s brevity and God’s sovereignty.
Today, unexpected diagnoses, job losses, or global unrest unsettle us. Rather than clinging to control, we entrust our plans to God. Our future is uncertain, but His presence remains constant and sure.
🙏 May the Lord, steady your heart when life changes suddenly. Amen
