THE TORN CURTAIN

MATTHEW 27:50-51

I once visited an old theatre and saw a massive cotton curtain—heavy, thick, and difficult to move. It reminded me how some barriers feel impossible to cross. In the Jewish temple, a similar curtain of strong fabric separated the people from God’s presence in the Most Holy Place.

But at Christ’s death, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51). God Himself removed the barrier, showing that through Jesus, we can now approach Him directly—without depending only on priests and rituals. The way to God is open to all who believe.

🙏 May you continue to have direct access to God’s presence through Jesus Christ. Amen.
