ANYWHERE

JEREMIAH 2:1–8; 3:14–15

My thoughts continue to focus on the past twenty-seven years, recalling how, as a newly ordained deacon, my commitment to Jesus was evident in my demeanour. I would go with Him no matter where and do anything.

Twenty-seven years later, my vows are still firmly woven with love and a dedication that has seen me through good times and bad.

In Jeremiah 2:2, God misses His beloved but rebellious Israel, recalling her early love and faithfulness. Israel once showed strong loyalty but eventually strayed.

Powerful feelings can fade, leading to complacency and unfaithfulness. It is important to fight against this in marriages, our workplaces, and even our ministry in church. Are we as devoted now as at the start?

God faithfully allows His people to return (3:14–15). Today we can reaffirm our commitment to follow Him—anywhere.

We do not need to know where we are going if we know God is leading.

🙏 Dear God, help Your children to keep the promises they made to You. May I and they follow You anywhere.
