POWERFUL INFANT

PSALM 13

I cried upon seeing the newborn asleep in his crib, knowing he would never wake again.

He held to live for months before his mother announced his death, expressing deep pain and the profound love God had carved into their hearts through his life.

The family’s son’s tragic loss underscores the importance of relying on God, who comforts us in our grief and knows the pains we face.

David writes from his own suffering, so when we are at the depths of our sorrow, we can turn to his songs. How long, he wondered (Psalm 13:2), must he struggle with his thoughts and carry grief in his heart every day?

Our worst experiences can only have ultimate meaning if they are revealed by God.

🤔💭 🙏 In a crisis, who or what do we turn to? When we are grieving and experiencing loss, do we ever become furious with God? Lord, we turn to You, because You have the words of life.
